I am a licensed professional counselor with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through life’s most challenging seasons. With advanced training in child development, behavior management, and trauma-informed care, I specialize in helping clients better understand themselves, strengthen emotional regulation, and build skills that lead to meaningful, lasting change. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and informed by years of clinical experience in both school counseling and community mental health settings. My heart for serving military families is rooted in my own experience as a military spouse. I understand the complexity of military life and am honored to support service members and their families with compassion, respect, and evidence-based care.
I am deeply passionate about working with clients in a way that honors the whole person. I take an integrative, collaborative approach to counseling that focuses on identifying root causes, building on strengths, and fostering resilience. Known for my warm, steady presence, I strive to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel truly seen, understood, and empowered. I am especially committed to helping individuals and families gain confidence, restore balance, and move forward with clarity and hope.
As a doctoral candidate in Counselor Education and Supervision, I am actively engaged in professional presentations, teaching, and research focused on strengthening counseling practice and family well-being. My presentation topics include trauma-informed care, parenting interventions and self-efficacy, child and adolescent mental health, military-connected communities, military trauma, and parental wellness. My research interests center on parenting experiences, emotional regulation, and the ways wellness, shame, and social context influence caregivers. Through conference presentations, invited trainings, and scholarly contributions, I am committed to advancing thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-based counseling practices that support individuals, families, and the systems that serve them.
